Welcome to Gobe's new diver information page!

Gobe Divers has partnered with Scuba Schools International (SSI) and Scuba Diving International (SDI) to bring our community the most comprehensive scuba training program in Denver. We offer traditional onsite classroom training through SSI and online classroom training through SDI. Both certifying agencies are recognized throughout the world as offering the most advanced, comprehensive training programs in the scuba industry!

As a new diver, you choose the option that best fits your schedule. If you choose traditional, onsite classroom training, our instructors use SSI's world reknown teaching system and course materials to teach the basics of scuba. If you choose online classroom training, you will work through SDI's online course. Both courses teach scuba basics in an easy to understand format.

Once completing either the SSI or SDI classroom training, you will meet with our patient, skilled instructors for pool training followed by your open water certification dives.

Not sure if Scuba diving is for you? No problem, we offer a Try Scuba program that allows you to don equipment and swim around our pool under the close supervision of our instructors.

All you need is your own dive quality snorkel gear (mask, fins, and snorkel). If you already own snorkel equipment, use it! Otherwise, Gobe sells a full line of masks, snorkels, and fins. We'll make sure you get the perfect fit!

Blue Hole, Santa Rosa, NM:

An excellent training location. It is about a 6-hour drive, and makes for a fun weekend trip. There are plenty of motels for our two-night stay, as Santa Rosa is on Interstate 40. It is home to the most unique geological phenomenon in the Southwest, the Blue Hole, which is often referred to as "Natures Jewel". It is an 81 foot deep artesian spring. The beautiful bell shaped, clear pool remains at a constant 64 degree temperature, permitting diving all year round. Due to its amazing clarity, Blue Hole has become a favorite place for many scuba divers, photographers, and sightseers.

Local:

Chatfield State Park has a lake for diving just south of Kingfisher pond. There are artifacts to explore and crayfish and other freshwater fish. Aurora Reservoir has a reserved area just for scuba diving. It has a Cessna 310 to dive on. Surface temp in the low 70's in summer. Tons of crayfish, and many other freshwater fish as well. Chatfield and Aurora are quick and convenient local spots to gain your certification during the summer months.

Gobe Divers is proud to be partners with SSI, SDI, and TDI!

There are many scuba certification agencies. These include NAUI, SSI, YMCA, PADI, and TDI to name a few. So, why did Gobe choose to parner with SSI, SDI, and TDI? Our goal is to provide the best scuba training possible and these 3 agencies are recognized world-wide as the leaders in scuba certification and training.

When you choose to attend onsite classroom training with Gobe, our Scuba Schools International (SSI) certified instructors use SSI's world reknown teaching system and materials to provide the highest quality scuba training in a fun, safe, enjoyable environment!

If you choose to take online classroom training, you will attend Scuba Diving International's (SDI) online course curriculum. As alway, Gobe certified instructors are available to assist you with questions.
