LineDrive Sportz had its first organizational meetings of the 2012 season on February 15th and 16th in the Rec Room at the Lucas County Rec Center and had a great turnout! So far we have 20 teams for PeeWee, 15 for Colt, and 8 teams for a new 9 and under league we are implementing this year.

The adult leagues are filling up quickly as well with 11 Co-Ed Rec teams, 3 Co-Ed competitive leagues, Men's D League has 3 teams and the E League has 12 teams so far. Please see each leagues' home page to find out what teams have completed their intent to participate. 

Our second organizational meeting will be on Monday, March 19th for the Co-Ed and D & E Leagues and Tuesday,  March 20 for PeeWee, Colt, and Willy Mays Leagues. We are interested in gathering information from teams with their intent to participate. If you are unable to attend, please contact our baseball/softball office at 419-794-7150.

Co-Ed USSSA Competitive and Recreational
Tuesday March 20th 6:30 pm
Pee Wee (ages 10, 11, 12 )

President's Day Baseball Camp 

LineDrive Sportz will be hosting a two-session baseball camp on President's day,  Monday February 20, 2012. The kids are out of school so bring them in and get their baseball skills sharpened. Don't let them sit home in front of the tv all day! 

Camps will focus on hitting, pitching, fielding and catching. 

Session I is from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Session II is from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Cost is $50.00 per session or $75.00 for both 

Teams/Groups of 10 or more are $40.00 per child (call office to register, 419-794-7150).

LineDrive Sportz announces the grand opening of the LineDrive Sportz Indoor Practice Facility in Hall II at the Lucas County Rec Center.  The ribbon cutting ceremony took place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Recreation Hall II. Lucas County Commissioner Chief of Staff Bridgett Kabat attended the ceremonies. Commissioner Tina Skeldon Wozniak and Maumee Mayor Tim Wagener presided over the ceremonies.

The newly renovated facility features 30,000 square feet of the top of the line UBU turf, the same turf used by the NFL’s New Orleans Saints in their Super Dome. The facility also features 4 ceiling drop batting cages,  6 hitting stations, 4 baseball and softball infields, 4 soccer and lacrosse fields, football field, pitching tunnels, and open field practice areas. 

 Following the opening ceremony, Team Sports hosted their annual Bat Days Distributors’ Event from 2:00 – 6:00 pm. Manufacturers such as Nike, Wilson (Demarini), Easton, Rip-It, Worth, Louisville Slugger, and Rawlings were at the LineDrive Sportz new indoor facility to show off their latest products and softball and baseball bats. Visitors and invited guests had the opportunity to hit with the bats in LineDrive Sportz' new facility. 

It was a great event and LineDrive Sportz and Team Sports would like to thank everyone who attended. We appreciate the support of our community and we will continue to renovate the Rec Center and give back to the community. THANKS!!
